Exploring Riley’s Lock and Seneca Creek: A Beginner Friendly Kayaking Adventure

Riley’s Lock, located near the C&O Canal and less than a mile away from Camp. Riley’s Lock offers a picturesque setting for a leisurely kayak trip with campers. The journey begins with an easy paddle along Seneca Creek, leading up to the exciting chute at the 28 bridge. This section of the creek provides a perfect opportunity for kids to enjoy a beachside lunch, swim in the refreshing waters, and experience the thrill of kayaking down the chute.
