Itinerary

Wednesday June 19

As kids arrive to camp they should meet up at the main office and help load the gear into the Adv Camp van. Once we are all ready to go we will depart for the trip at approximately 10 am.

We will stop along the way at a grocery store to get breakfast and dinner for the trip.

(Please pack a non perishable lunch for the 2 days.)

Stop for picnic lunch at Sailwinds Playground in Cambridge, MD along the Choptank River.

The group will arrive at campsite between 2 – 3 pm

We will set up camp, explore the campgrounds, prepare a campfire and cook dinner.

After dinner, we will have a bonfire until lights out at approx 9:30

Thursday Jun 20, 2024

As the kids wake up, Paul will prepare a fire and breakfast for the group.

We will go for a hike on the Blades road trail in Pocomoke. It is a 3.8 mile long loop hike. Then we will head back to our campsite and have lunch. (Please pack non perishable food for lunch) (We will provide snacks)

At 2:00 we will go swimming/ at Assateague Island National seashore

At 5:00 we will head back to the campsite and Paul will teach the kids how to start a fire and then start cooking dinner.

6 pm campfire dinner.

After dinner we will sit around the campfire and play card games.

We may go to an ice cream store for dessert so please make sure your kid has money.

9:30 pm Lights out

Friday Jun 21, 2024

As the kids wake up Paul will prepare a fire and cook breakfast.

We will pack up our campsite and return to Valley Mill.

We will have lunch at a rest stop on the road.

We will be back at camp in time for the regular scheduled bus home.

*** There is limited van space so please pack light. Cooler space is reserved for campfire dinners and breakfasts. ***

***Please have your camper bring money for donuts at Fractured Prune, Ice cream, quick service meal for lunch on ride home Friday***

***Friendly reminder this is a device free trip. Campers may bring a personal device, but it will remain in a safe locked box with the tripping leader. Campers may use their personal device to call home in the evening, or they may use the trip leaders phone.***
